Country music star Kelsea Ballerini recently addressed and dismissed pregnancy rumors:
Country singer Lauren Alaina is brimming with excitement as she prepares to welcome her first child with husband Cam Arnold. The big news comes shortly after she revealed her pregnancy in the music video for her latest single “Those Kinds of Women.” Reflecting on her journey, Alaina shared how much she loves her baby, saying, “I didn’t know I could love something that I haven’t even held in my hands yet. It’s like my heart got bigger overnight.”
Alaina and Arnold, 30, married in February last year, and the pregnancy has brought them even closer. “Going through this experience with him has been incredible. I already knew he would be an amazing father. The way he takes care of our animals showed me what a great nurturer he is. Parenting with him was something I was excited about even before we got married.”
Interestingly, the couple had planned to start trying for a baby in late 2025, but fate had other plans. “It wasn’t in my timeline—it was God’s plan. Now I’m taking it easy, asking my mom and friends for advice,” she said, laughing about the surprises of motherhood.
This happy news comes at an emotional time for Alaina’s family, after she lost her father in July. “I think my father had a hand in this from heaven. It’s like he sent us this unexpected blessing. This baby has brought a lot of relief to our family—it feels like a little part of him is still alive.”
Although the couple hasn’t revealed the baby’s sex, they’ve already picked out a name inspired by a family member. So far, Alaina’s pregnancy has been smooth. “I resisted for a while, but on my 30th birthday, I finally gave in. I almost cried eating it—it was so good!”
Alaina’s music video for “Those Kinds of Women” was filmed when she wasn’t showing much, so she used a fake baby bump. “I wrote the song about the strong women who raised me, and now, I’m about to raise a child myself. It gave the song a whole new meaning.”
The couple has been counting down the days until they meet their little one, and Alaina is eager for this new chapter. “It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I can’t wait to see my husband as a father. I just know he’s going to be incredible.”
