Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle L. President Trump, grappling with his second major aviation disaster since assuming office last week, took to Truth Social to address the incident.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have launched a full-scale investigation to determine the cause of the crash.

This catastrophe comes on the heels of another aviation tragedy—just days earlier, a midair collision near Reagan National Airport in Virginia involving an American Airlines passenger jet and an Army Black Hawk helicopter resulted in over 60 fatalities.
